Terms of Service

These are the terms between you and Arkhetia. We have tried to write them to be read, not just agreed to — plain where we can be, precise where we have to be. By creating an account or using Arkhetia, you accept them. If you do not, please don't use the Service.

1. What Arkhetia is

Arkhetia offers reflective, conversational sessions meant to help you understand yourself, drawing on three perspectives — evolutionary psychology, clinical psychology, and philosophy. The responses are generated by artificial intelligence.

2. What Arkhetia is not

Arkhetia is not therapy, medical or psychological care, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. It does not give medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. If you are in crisis, or you might be a danger to yourself or others, please contact your local emergency services or a professional right away. Don't rely on Arkhetia for decisions that need professional judgment.

3. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to use Arkhetia. By using it, you confirm that you are.

4. Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your login secure. Please give us accurate information and tell us if you notice any unauthorized use.

5. Subscriptions, billing, and renewals

Arkhetia has a free tier and paid tiers. Paid plans are billed in advance and renew automatically — monthly or annually, depending on the plan you choose — through our payment provider, who acts as merchant of record. Prices are shown before you pay. You can cancel any time, and if you upgrade mid-cycle we credit the unused part of what you already paid and only charge the difference. 6. Fair use

Please don't misuse the Service — for unlawful purposes, to disrupt or reverse-engineer it, to gain unauthorized access, or to harm others. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

7. What you write stays yours

Your sessions belong to you. You grant us only the limited permission needed to run the Service for you — including sending your words to the AI providers that generate responses — exactly as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell what you write, and we never use it to train AI.

8. Our name and our work

Arkhetia — its software, design, and the name itself — belongs to us and is protected by law. These terms don't give you any right to our trademarks or branding.

9. No warranties

Arkhetia is provided "as is" and "as available," to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any AI-generated response will be accurate or right for a particular purpose. Treat its insights as material for your own thinking, not as instructions.

10. Limits of our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of or reliance on Arkhetia. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Arkhetia evolves. If we make a material change, we'll take reasonable steps to let you know rather than change them quietly. Continuing to use Arkhetia after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which Arkhetia's operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
